My Goals for June

Firstly, how on earth are we half-way through 2017?! Last I remember, I was reflecting on 2016 with all my close friends, wondering what the year ahead had in store for me. 6 months later, I'm in the most important part of it so far!
There's a lot to be done in the next 30 days, here's some of what I hope to achieve:
  1. Do the best I can in my A-Levels. This month, the most important exams of my life (so far) are starting. Granted, I am petrified, but at the same time, I remember that I can only do my best! With a bit of revision (okay, a lot of revision), hopefully I can do well enough to make myself proud and to move onto the next, more adult phase in my life!
  2. Finish organising/booking my upcoming holidays. This year, I've planned to go on two holidays after my exams have finished. Firstly, two friends and I are going to Amsterdam in July. This is only a short trip of 4 days, but it should hopefully be really fun, and I cant wait to see a completely new part of Europe! Secondly, in August, I'm heading to Thailand for two weeks, and on the second week my boyfriend is joining me and we're taking a short trip over to Vietnam, where we'll spend the rest of the month exploring! All the major flights and accommodation has been booked, but I'd like to make a list of things to do and places to see before I fly out, like a little sight-seeing checklist!
  3. Maintain my gym schedule. Over the past couple months, I've got back into weight training and have developed a nice little routine for my legs/butt, upper body (biceps, triceps, back), core, and of course cardio! Although exams will be a priority, the gym has become a little hobby of mine and it really helps with self-esteem and stress relief, so I hope I can manage to juggle academia and fitness.
This month is going to be a tough one, but hopefully I can power through it and come out a lot less stressed than I went into it!

What are your plans for the upcoming month?

(Side note, I'm also running a giveaway till the end of July! Check out my tweet and enter for a chance to win over £100 worth of goodies!)

  1. You're so right about 2017 going by really fast, January has just jumped to June I swear haha. I'm so jealous that you're going to Amsterdam! I still need to get a passport and that's the first place I'm heading to when I do. Best of luck with your A Level exams

  3. Oh have a lovely time travelling after your A Levels! I'm so so jealous you're going to Vietnam! I've never been but Ha Long Bay is so high on my list, the whole trip will be a fantastic reward for studying I'm sure <3

My month is quite laid back compared to recent months, it's the only month this year so far I'm not going abroad and I'm going to make a start on my dissertation and take an intensive driving course next month so will rest this June myself!

  4. I read The Bloody Chamber for my A Levels all those years ago and it's since become one of my favourite collection of short stories. I hope you're enjoying it just as much! Good luck in your exams!

  5. Those are some great goals! You'll LOVE Amsterdam; I've been a few times hehe. May I suggest the Reypenaer cheese tasting!! It's so good! Sooo jelly you're going to Thailand and Vietnam! That sounds like quite an experience! This month, I want to take better care of myself. You know I work loads and because of that, I've been struggling to eat right/exercise. So I am hoping that I can get back into a healthier routine :) (and hope I win that giveaway hahaha) ;)

  7. Funny that you mention working out being a way to kind of relieve stress, and talk about planning as well! As weird as it sounds I've actually heard that planning a trip can be calming. Sounds like you have a fun summer ahead of you! Good luck with your goals!

  11. Your travel plans sound so exciting, I've been to Thailand before (well, Koh Samui) but never Amsterdam so I'd be so interested to see what that's like. I love making lists of things to do and see for the places I travel to as well, I also like to research good places to eat!

  12. I love how you're setting yourself goals for the upcoming 6 months! Also, good luck with your A-levels! I'm sure you'll do great! I took my A-Level exams the previous two months as well so all I can say is that you definitely should not worry too much. (I know, easier said than done but they are not as hard as some teachers often predict them to be!) x
